The Decatur Rotary Club, a service organization in Decatur since 1916, meets every Thursday at noon at the Back 40 Junction. Projects of the club include providing funds for scholarships to Bellmont and Adams Central High School graduating seniors, hosting National Honor Society and Youth Service Leadership classes, sponsoring the Callithumpian Poster Painting Contest, providing funds to Polio Plus to help eliminate polio throughout the world. The club supports the Boys & Girls Club, Boy Scouts, United Way, the Public Library, Junior Achievement, Newspapers in Education program, Make a Difference Day and other projects to help our community.
