Spotlight on Decatur -  2010

Awesome Crowd

The 14th annual Spotlight on Decatur kicked off on Saturday March 13th with a large crowd in attendance. Fifty-six businesses and organizations had exhibits.

As always WZBD bingo drew a large crowd with just under two hundred people participating. WZBD personalities called bingo and entertained the crowd who won fun prizes during the event.

The Rotary Auction followed with another large crowd in attendance. Following the auction many fine local acts took center stage in the cafetorium. Many people enjoyed lunch from Manley Meats while watching the entertainment.

Each year the Mayor and City Council select three booths for special recognition. The 2010 booth award winners are:

• Mayors Choice: Purdue Extension Service City Council
• 1st Place: Adams Memorial Hospital City Council
• 2nd Place: Adams Public Library

The North Adams Arts Council presented a large display of art by local student and adult artists on the axuliary gym.
